    Hatchling tub size?

So I know the "regular" is the 6qt tub per hatchling but do any of you put your hatchlings straight into 12 or 15 qt tubs?

Or is it not recommended for security reasons?

Not recommended for security reasons but I can't stand the 6qt tubs!!! I like the longer narrow tubs like Vision Products and Freedom Breeder uses. Personally I use VP tubs and build my own racks.

I start with 6's and then go to 15's after 300 grams or so.

    Re: Hatchling tub size?

Thank you all for the replies. I will just break down and build an extra rack. I was just planning stuff and seeing where I could save $$, but of course I dont want to risk the happiness or safety of my animals so I will just build the other rack

    Re: Hatchling tub size?

I'm actually just using 12qts for mine, I still consider them hatchlings since they are really only a few weeks in, they were all born in march/april of this year so since they have grown a bit and don't seem 2 small, the 12qt tubs seem to suit them. They also aren't giving me a problem feeding(80% of them at least) so they seem alright.
