Is my BP shedding ok?
I know she hhs been preparing to shed for a few days now. She is past the original color change and past the point where her eyes clear up, and now she appears to be in hardcore shed mode where she will be shedding any time. Now here is my question: I notice some dried/peeled skin around her mouth and tail area. Is this normal, signifying sh eisgoing to shed soon? She hasn't rubbed off any significant skin, if any at all, but I notice her preparing. Should I help her or just wait it out?

According to my analog gauge, it's between 55-70%. I keep it up in that range as much as I can. 50-60 normally and 60-70 during shed.

at that level everything should go fine without you having to worry about it. Just give it time and I bet you have a nice, clean shed.

I wouldn't be surprised if she has a bad shed. Those analog gauges are notoriously inaccurate, your humidity could actually be much lower then what the gauge says.
I would give her a couple more days and see how much skin she can get off. Mist the cage a couple times a day.

Re: Is my BP shedding ok?
Hi,
As stated those gauges are junk.
I would mist her enclosure to get the humidity up.

Re: Is my BP shedding ok?
I was in the same postion not to long ago, and I had one of those dial thermostats. Well in the end, I had to shed my whole girl. And it was time consuming, let me tell you. Mist down the cage to keep the humidity up, and make sure she has things they can rub against. Like Kaorte said, wait a few more days to see if she can get it off herself. If she can't soak her in a tub of luke warm water for about 10 minutes (it's what I did) and just start peeling her. When you peel around her nose and face, be careful with her eyes. I was lucky enough I was able to get her eye caps off nice and clean along with skin with them.

Thank you all very much for the help. I'll give it another day or two and see how it goes.
