Water temp?
As I am testing my rack and Helix, I keep thinking of more questions. Should water bowls be filled with warm, luke-warm, cool or cold water. Most pets should be given cold water, but I give luke-warm water to my birds since they come from a warm tropical environment and I doubt they have access to much cold water. I would think BP's only ever have access to warm water, too, so don't want to offer cold water if it could possibly lead to illness. So what temp water do you use for your BP's? Thanks in advance.

Re: Water temp?
I use room temp water. Actually I leave a container of water on my counter for the snakes, in 24 hours in a vented container most of the chlorine disappates. I don't like the thought of chlorine in that snakes water.

Re: Water temp?
Doesnt really matter, cause it's just going to heat up or cool down to ambient temp anyway.

Re: Water temp?
I knew that it would eventually reach the same temp as the ambient temp in the enclosure, but just wanted to check. I know dogs my and birds will drink as soon as they are offered fresh water, even of their water has been changed earlier in the day. I wanted to make sure I offered the correct temp for the BP just in case he did the same.

Re: Water temp?
I fill the bowls with cold tap water but it gets warm pretty quickly.

Re: Water temp?
I fill up bowls out of the tap, and fill them with slightly cool to the touch water.

Re: Water temp?
Usually I just fill up the bowls with cool tap water, but I'm going to start leaving water out to get rid of the chlorine so it will be room temp water.

Re: Water temp?
Thanks all! Never even thought about leaving water out to let chlorine dissipate.
