    Found two more snakes today...

I'm going with Worm snake for first and Smooth Earth snake for the second.

The second one is awesome! I picked him up and he immediately curled around my thumb and just kinda sniffed around...kinda like my boa on my arm.

The first one is a thrasher and a biter. His mouth is so small though it's almost comical.

    Worm snake I'm guessing...

    Smooth Earth snake...

I used http://timberrattlesnake89.tripod.co...nvenomous.html for identification. They will both be released shortly. I just grabbed them up for a couple pics.

One was on the edge of my driveway under some leaves and the other was in a pile of leaves that was being disposed of.

The only type of wild life I ever see around here are squirrels, rabbits, hawks, and bugs.

Use to be the same for me. I guess I have started looking closer. The king snake from Sunday was a complete surprise though, I just happened to be outside having a smoke when it started going through the street.

I still have yet to see my first snake in MN. I've gone herping in likely places, but no luck so far. There are plenty of turtles, frogs, and even salamanders though.. but yeah, it's mostly squirrels and the like when it comes to wildlife.

Your first snake is either a pine woods snake or a red-bellied snake (hard to tell from your pics) and the second one is a worm snake that is going to shed soon so its colors look a little off.

Is everyone else able to see them? They are on my public web space, so it's not imageshack or photobucket messing up.
