    Exclamation Got Eggs, HUGE PROBLEM!

I could sit here and give excuses but there is no excuse, I second guessed myself and the signs too many times and now I may just pay for it. So I honestly didn't think my girl was gonna take she was kinda sorta, but not really showing signs but then all the sudden poof nothing, its like she went back to a slightly slimmer version of what she use to be before I began breeding season. So Yeah it was a monsterous shock when I saw her wrapped around some eggs 15 mins ago.

Luckily I've had my incubator all setup, EXCEPT for the substrate for the eggs, its still in the process of being shipped here (should be here tomorrow - Thank Gawd); I bought some to prep for my other girls who are almost ready to breed. I had a bag of Vermiculite in my shed, but the floods ruined it. So Yeah I seriously need some advice on what to do until then. So far I dropped the temp on her enclosure to 89, and I tapped up some of the holes so that the humidity can increase a bit. Is there anything else I can do?

I'll will be eternally grateful for any advice!

    ..Gawd I'm such an idiot...

If your sure that your substrate is going to be there tomorrow you have two options. Go to your local Lawn and garden store and get more vermiculite or just leave her on the eggs till tomorrow.

After all they incubate them in the wild..

First congrats on the eggs Ed gave you two good options. I personally would go to Home Depot or a lawn and garden store and pick up some vermiculite as opposed to wait until tomorrow. Good luck with whatever you decide to do

Thanks! I completely forgot about Homedepot (its 2 hours aways) I'm gonna head and get some. My bag of Vermiculite was ruined last night I think, got that bag from a local snake breeder.

    Re: Got Eggs, HUGE PROBLEM!

Home Depot and Lowes is out of both Vermiculite and Perlite. I guess I'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow. Looks like she has 3 eggs and 1 infertile. It makes since now why she didn't look like she went through ovulation, 2258 gram bp, with 3 eggs isn't very noticeable.

    Thanks again Guys!

At least it's FL, and you don't have to worry about keeping the humidity up for her! Good luck peeling her off in a few days.

LOL So true, I opened my window and the humidity just spiked from 55 to 85. I was really worried and totally in shock earlier but now that I've calmed down I feel better about the situation.

Spray her at least twice a day while she incubates the eggs.
