    My new IJ girl

Turns out I can't make it through an expo without coming home with a new snake!

I picked up this IJ girl today! I love my balls, but I'm quickly becoming quite a carpet fan (that line is ripe for the picking for the 'Completely out of context' thread, I know!)

I was totally impressed that she didn't tag the moron who came and snatched her out of my hands (literally, and without asking) at the show. You really don't need much knowledge of snakes to figure out that strangle-holding them around their necks until they thrash around wildly and then putting them in your three young daughters' faces while encouraging them to "Come touch this! Hold this guy!" is probably not a good idea. Anyway, on to pictures!

She rode most of the way home either under the sun visor in the car or hanging out on the rear view mirror

    My nephew named her Olivia.

Gorgeous snake! Never had one but they really intrigue me

and side note , what a jerk to grab her out of your hands like that, some people have absolutely no manners.

on another side note, it is a horrible idea to transport a snake in such a manner. i have heard of snakes in ac vents, getting lost in the dash, ect. now is not the time for more releases of snakes. if you want to hold her, wait till you get home.

Wow kinda harsh here , by making this statement you "ASSUME" their was no one else in the car to handle the snake and you also "ASSUME" they didnt take safety measures before driving home. I just don't think one should make a judgment call based on an assumption. We all know what happens when people ASSUME.

On yet another sidenote I remember a bp on here names dash who got his name because he disappeared in the dash on the drive home. If I'm remembering correctly it was a nightmare getting him out and I'm sure it was stressful for the snake.
I'm not being harsh or judgmental but it bears keeping in mind.
That's a very nice looking little Carpet you picked up and I hope you really enjoy her.

i also heard of a few disappearing in the dash from corn snakes to baby ball pythons. That was cool advice for people who dont know about the "snakes in the dash". I dont think u was being harsh because if you heard the stories ive heard i could understand why you would mention that in post. Dont take it personal. This site is all about learning and sharing experiences. I think thats all WALTHA was saying. He was warning you of what can happen.

i don't care if there were 10 in the car....stuff happens. i wasn't making any assumptions. i have heard many, many stories about this same situation and then....poof! snake gone. money lost. animal dead.

the truth is harsh sometimes. leave your animals in the bad until you get home. or learn how to quickly take apart the interior of your car at a moments notice.

Thanks for the unsolicited advice, but I wasn't the one driving and she was fine!
