So I know that when you breed a yellow belly to a yellow belly there is a 25% chance of getting an Ivory.
So if you breed a Yellow belly het ivory to a yellow belly het ivory what are the odds of getting an ivory and are they more or less likely to produce an ivory?

What?? You answered your question with your first sentance. A YB is in a way, a het ivory but we dont call it het. Ivory is the super form of a YB. Niether of which is recessive gene. Recessive gene carriers are generally the ones refferred to as hets.

YB to YB could give you an ivory. The simplest way to put it would be to say (mathmatically incorrect though) a YB to a YB is a 1 in 4 possibility of getting an ivory. A YB to an ivory could be 2 in 4 chance and an ivory to an ivory would be a 4 out of 4.

Thats in laymens terms but unless you actually pair an ivory to an ivory there is no 100% guarantee that you will get a certain number of ivorys and there is always the chance that you may not get any. Its all based on the punet square.

Thank you, I was just wondering because a breeder was selling yellowbellys and yellowbelly het ivories but if they were the same it just seems weird to write it twice on your site. Thank you for clearing that up for me
