Can Wobblers Breed?

I stupidly bought an amazing 2009 Bumble Bee male online from a guy who swore "no Wobble" but this snake is in another galaxy most of the time- wobbling, spinning, cork screwing, and whole 9 yards. He may have chilled out a bit (but that's probably due to the fact that he's settling in to his new home with me and not exploring as much, therefore not moving as much so I see his symptoms less). Can he still be used as a breeder and if so is it even ethical to breed Thanks in advance...

The wobble itself is part of the spider mutation, and there is no evidence to suggest that breeding a wobbler will produce more wobblers than breeding a non-wobbler.

They usually breed just fine. I wouldn't write him off just for having a wobble. Stress often seems to exacerbate the wobble in spiders, so it could be that his symptoms really are reduced now that he's getting used to his new home.

There is no scientific proof that you would get more snakes that wobble or not, but I would not suggest breeding it.

I think it's up to the breeder. The spider wobble is why I won't breed spiders or any of their morphs, but many breeders have no problems breeding them. As far as 'can they breed'? There are plenty of spider morphs, so I imagine they get the job done.

I don't think there is such thing as "no wobble" in spider morphs! They always go crazy in a new home! Just make sure the conditions are perfect and it should go down alot! I would breed as every spider morph has some sort of wobble! Good luck!

the Wooble in spiders shows up the most when they are stressed out or excited, like when they are trying to feed. If this is the case of your bee, then you dont have much to worry about, that is how spiders are.

There are a few spiders out there that are train wrecks though.

A spider or bee with a visable wobble or corkscrew can produce those without a visable wobble or with a visable wobble. On the other hand you can have one that you don't notice do it.....and they can produce big wobblers. Just part of the morph! The breeders that deal with these morphs will tell you.....even though you might not see it all the time...it is always there even just a little.

Yes.

Is it ethical?

Ethics and morals are up to the breeder. I personally treat all spiders the same, whether or not I have witnessed extreme wobbling at times, with regards to whether it is ethical to breed one.

I have an 08' spider female who had the wobbles until she was about a year old. She is about 2 now and I haven't seen any sign of wobbling. I plan to breed her once she is up to weight, mostly becuase she is the best looking spider I've ever seen.
