Pondering buying a Closed Air Rack System.
I heard about these on the last J kobylka video. The idea of only having to heat one side of the enclosure and the other side heating itself is appealing. I could then use my Neodesha's purely for Colubrids. I have a few questions though since I know squat about racks.
What size should I get? I am a buy once buy right kinda guy. And I don't mind adding extra hides.
Where should I get it from?
Flexwatt Kinda Scares me, is it really a fire hazard? What if it burns out what do I do?
Any other advice you could give on racks for a newbie would be helpful. Thanks.

Any heating device is dangerous if not used with a thermostat properly. Flexwatt is no different than say a UTH.
As per tub size, BPs will do fine in a 28/32qt. The bigger older females might need a 41qt.
I would recomend RBI or Boaphile. There is also Animal Plastics, alot of people like them.
Whichever you decide, just remember to leave room for expansion.

A rack is definitely the way to go! Depending what size BP's you have and what you plan on doing with your collection will determine what rack you go with. Get yourself a good quality thermostat. I use Herpstats but know many people who use Helix. Both are great. Now depending on your collection I would recommend using 32qts. If you plan on breeding I would say 41qts. I have 2 Animal plastic racks that will accomodate either 2 15qt totes or 1 32 qt slot per slot. To me its very versatile as you can house hatchlings and adults. I have a 2300 gram female that does great in a 32qt. However I will be getting a 41qt rack soon for my bigger snakes for breeding.
As far as company I can speak on Animal Plastics and RBI. I think the quality on the animal plastics is a little better. The RBI racks are a little thinner material. As far as value goes RBI is a better value. I say this because the price is about the same but that includes totes and shipping and RBI has a turnaround time of 2 weeks where AP takes about 7 weeks.
Either one you go with you will be happy tho. I would purchase either one. I like RBI racks for a few of the features they have and AP for their quality.
Hope this helps you and if you get a rack you will have very happy BP's. They love em

I have a 4 tub IRIS rack from Reptile basics that works great, and I plan on getting two of the 5 tub racks from Boaphile in the next few months. Even though they are closed air racks I still have to use a space heater in my snake room do to the fact my house stays around 72 degrees.

I'm in love with my Animal Plastics Sterilite 1960 rack. I got a crazy deal on it used, but recommend it either way
