I would say heat tape or heat cable. I'm using heat cable because I had a gift card for Petsmart and used it towards the cable. If they sold heat tape I'd have bought and used that instead.
i use flexwatt in mine and will use it in any more i build untill i build a walk in

I using flexwatt in a coke cooler ( store display type about 4-5 ft tall with shelves. ) but ialso placed flexwatt ( going down one side and up the other side to make sure I had enough heat in there . ) I did it simple by drilling a hole in the tope corner ( make sure you palce it low enough that the wire are able to be grabed and such my hole was a bit high and i had to fight to get th probe and wires in the usable area.) then I foiled tape over the hole and atapeed enough of the cord to the top so I can not worry about snaggin it when I goingin and out of the room .

Use flexwatt depending on the size of the fridge. I have a small bar size fridge and I use 11" flexwatt.
Use 1ft of flexwatt per 1 cu ft of space. ie; 5cu ft fridge needs 5 ft of flexwatt. It's always better to use more flexwatt than not enough. If you use too little you will be running the flexwatt at a higher wattage to keep the temps stable.
I'm running a Herpstat ND on my incubator and it runs around 10% power to keep temps up.

How did the heat cable work for you? I can get that locally! Heat tape must be ordered!
