    Still sounds like it's from the cleaning. If the enclosure is not 100% dry, it will hold humidity for up to a day, especially since once you put it back on the heat and have water in there you're adding more.

    You can either wait it out, or take out the water dish for the night while it regulates back to the normal.

    Also, newspaper doesn't absorb heat like substrate, so heat goes directly into the tub, with no barrier, it can raise humidity as well. What temp is it at? I keep mine at 90, and humidity is fine with newspaper.

    You can also add more ventilation, I always add extra holes in my tubs.
