    Talking Well, that settles it!!

You may remember I very recently posted this thread

Well.. I checked on Mithril tonight and when I peeked through her tub with the aid of a flashlight, I noticed something a little... odd. Could it be?

I lifted the lid and peeked inside..sure enough, she was coiled around some eggs! Frantically, I set up a incubation box and turned on my back up incubator, trying to get it calibrated. Once I got the darn thing set up I carefully removed mama from her eggs (she was very good, just a little hiss!) and candled the eggs. All five of them are fertile with big veins.

I am so freaking excited. I just hope that I don't botch this up. We'll see in two months, I guess

If you didn't check the other thread, I did not breed Mithril. I bought her at a show back in January and she showed no signs of being gravid. She must have retained the sperm. So this is a mystery clutch!

I have had way too much excitement for one day

Definitely! As long as I can correctly incubate the darn things..haha. Hoping for the best over here... and I'm also hoping Mithril will go back on food! She wasn't optimal breeding weight unfortunately and now she's all thin

    1.0 100% Het. Ghost
4 Pygocentrus Nattereri (Red belly Piranhas)
1 Serrasalmus Sanchezi (Purple Spilo Piranha)

I've spent thousands on my fish hobby alone its a little scary thinking about how much I'll be spending now that I'm getting into the world of herps.
