Day 36
Eggs have been in the incubator 36 days and there starting to develop a slight mold...is that something to be concerned about??

Re: Day 36
Mold is usually caused from too much moisture in the egg tub if your using the method of eggs in the substrate.
How is the tub set up.

Re: Day 36
if you have eggs in the substrate and using the press n seal this is why more condensation develops. Especially closer to hatching day they will casue more moisture due to eggs being and the end of the cycle. if your using the press n seal, try taking it out as at this stage.
I for one dont use press n seal and never had moisture develop on sides or the lid ever.
This is how i set up my eggs, no mixing of any kind since eggs are never touching the substrate.

Re: Day 36
Should the little bit of greenish mold be of any concern at this point though?? ANd also when you say no mixing, what do you use for substrate then under the grid??? And i am just using sterilite tubs...

If the mold isnt bad then leave it. If it gets worse then you can slowly try to wipe it away with a qtip if possible.
Mixing i mean not having to mix weight of vermiculite to water.
I just toss in 3" of vermiculite and then soak the substrate.

Nice looking clutch But someones drawn on your eggs
I would also say that its too damp which is causing the mold you could try wiping it off though.

I've heard of folks using a very small amount of athlete's foot powder, applied with a q-tip, to mold spots. Reportedly it kills the mold, and the hatchlings come out fine.
