King or any colubrid that size needs to be probed as they can be injured easier when larger in size. Popping is best with hatchlings.

Thanks! I've popped a King that was around the size of this one and I saw hemipenes, and the end of the tail is more rounded than sharply tapered (matters in some cases ) but I'll try to get a friend to probe her.

That is a king snake for sure. I used to own one that looked just like yours, and I named her checkers because her stomach looked like a checker board.

I can always tell a King when I see one, they got that certain look to them Kingsnakes are my favorite colubrids, so I was happy to take this girl
