Is My Baby Sick?
After a recent quick photo shoot with my new snake, I noticed some things on his face and wanted to know what you think. Two things actually..
1) Light crust around one nostril and almost non existent on the other.
2) Similar thing in the corner of his eye.
I bought him from a pet store, which I regret giving business to. And know that could be a problem in itself..
Anyway, please take a quick look at these and let me know what you think. Ive attempted to photo shop them a bit and crop the image in the areas I mean.

Should I be concerned? What can I do to fix the issue? My first thought was that it could be bad shed spots? But not sure if that explains the crusty nostril..
Please help. Thanks everyone.

Re: Is My Baby Sick?
It kind of just looks like nose rub, stuck shed, or a combination of the two.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Keep an eye on the snake and check for symptoms of an RI. If there are no symptoms, it should clear up with the next shed.

I second that. It is hard to tell in the photos. If you want you can also pull the side of the lip down and see if there are bubbles. That would be a sign of an RI.
Also as a side note.....I always take their shed and unfold it to ensure that it is a full shed and that their eye caps are in the shed. That way you know it came off.

Thanks, ill check into it a bit when I get home. Today is handling day!
Also, the snake is new so his last shed took place while in the previous owners possession. Ill keep that in mind for when he sheds for me.
