Thar she blows!
I have been checking on Zim 2x daily now and I just got home from work like 5 min ago and checked on her. I see one egg in the egg box. Her lower end looks huge so I won't be surprised to go up there and find another. The egg I found is probably a slug. Or at least it looked that way. The "shell" is thin and it just looks like a slug. I'm going to candle it anyway to be sure but its probably not a good egg. I'm going to see if I can snap a picture or two and there will definitely be pictures of the eggs once they are in the egg tub going into the incubator.
Thank you all who have helped me!

Re: Thar she blows!
Thanks!

I took this picture and another but I'm going to leave her alone now to do her thing. How long should I leave her to finish laying the eggs? The egg tub is in the incubator so the substrate is not cool.

Re: Thar she blows!
That egg is definitely a slug.
Once they start to lay, I try to leave them alone for 24 hrs. The total process of laying eggs can easily take half a day. After 24 hrs, the eggs should all be out. You can gently remove her, the lay box, and transfer the eggs. You'll want to double check that she isn't still retaining some eggs. If she is, then remove the eggs, but put the lay box back in and put her back in the lay box and give her another day to pass the egg(s).
Congrats on the clutch!

Yea, It is definitely a slug. I couldn't help but check on her one more time before leaving her alone. She has 3 good eggs and 3 slugs. I'm so excited!

Re: Thar she blows!
I have the eggs in the incubator now. I'm going to candle them in just a few minutes. I'll try to take a few pictures. Lots of slugs, but more white eggs than slugs, so I guess that is good. Now we just have to hope there are veins in those eggs.

Re: Thar she blows!
Only a few of the white eggs have veins that I could see. 3-4 maybe.

Not as easy to do IMO as with ball eggs. You can pretty much tell fertile vs slug just by the way they look. Any that are smallish, and discolored are typically slugs. Any that are nice and big and bright white, are good. If they're white and look good, I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Thar she blows!
Even if they have no veins? They are yellow on the inside. I'll try to take some pictures.
