    First Eggs of the year

    Just wanted to show my first clutch of the season, hitting the ground

    6 days after deposition and one small rat!


    5 eggs at ~450grams


    Fresh eggs


    Mom 2 days earlier

    yeah i usually keep it up 90+ but ive never had a problem with too dry . you can always add moisture but you cant take it away . Mattk will do should be interesting to see what comes out of my yb and jp x secret special . I just dont know.

    update

    Day 28 and 433gram 5 egg clutch looking good all fertile and turgid being through the bulk of it I trust ill be patient and the next few weeks will fly. Not sure what my other girls are doing . . . this may be the only clutch until late summer

    those two top eggs that are dimpled were dimpled when layed and are dimpled now 28days in ? They are fertile just seem to have room in them.

    Neonate Outcome

    Jp didnt get in ... outcome was 1.0 normal 2.0 yellowbelly and 0.2 yellowbelly. Nice ratio (4/5 yb's) for me, especially with 2 of them girls . . . I incubated at ~ 86.5-87.5 for the first 45 days then ~ 88 to day 58 when they pipped. 1 male yellowbelly unfortunately has a bad tipped tail, besides that they are perfect.
