Was able to break away from my work and make the show...
For a first time show...it turned out to be a lot busier and larger than I expected. Ofcourse Ball Pythons dominated most of the show...Marc Bailey had a...if I remember correctly...YB Firefly Superstripe...totally wicked...and I took no pics of it.
It was good seeing you too Mark! And Congrats on the Anery pickup!
Here are a bunch of pictures I took at the show. I had a great time, there were a lot of people coming through, I sold a bunch of animals and came home with a female anerythristic boa and three baby tarantulas (Venezuelan suntigers. (Psalmopoeus irminia)) Yeah, I already know I'm not the greatest photographer, but this is kind of what it looked like.
A display of emperor scorpions under black light. They glow a cool blue color.
They had some dart frogs there which was nice to see.
This is the guy I bought my boa from.
Here she is. I'll post other pics in the boa forum.
Garrick DeMeyers display
Maybe I should have bought this female spider?
Here's another shot from the side, an educational display for the kiddies.
Some big snakes at Monster-cages table.
and some baby retics they were selling too.
My pitiful little display, and my friend April trying to sell her spiders (I bought the suntigers from her)
My friend Craig who breeds Leopard Geckos and Fire Salamanders. The salamanders are really cool and they give birth to live young, but they take FOREVER to mature.
Lots of really nice kingsnakes.
The MN herp society had a really nice display with lots of native species
Jason called me last week to say that the next show is going to be on August 15th. So put it on your calendar. It should be a nice tune up show the week before Daytona.
