Ok so I bought my female Pinstripe in beginnign of Feb and she hasn't eaten at all for me her weight has been just about the same up until last week or so I noticed a small difference in weight (don't have a scale I'm judging by holding her) I've tried feeding her F/T, I've tried live mice and rats. I don't handle her as much as I handle everyone else due to the fact that she hasn't eaten for me. Her temps are all fine. I want to try an ASF does anyone know where I can get one or if I have to buy a few in the Philadelphia area. If found a guy on fauna but he never got back to me. I'm not tooo concerned but I am lol . Also she is 500 grams, well that's what the breeder told me her weight was

Have you tried using gerbil bedding to season a mouse or rat first? Leaving a F/T in the hide over night or putting her in a large paper bag with one?

I had a 1200 gram albino that hadn't eaten for me for 6 months. I was really trying to keep her off of ASFs and finally got her to eat a mouse. I don't know that I would give in at 2.5 months just yet if it's hard for you to get ASFs. If that's the route you want to take, though, I would look online. I have found a site or two where you can buy them frozen.

Scales are cheap in the kitchen section at wal mart. I might be a good investment so you can keep up with her weight.

I would probably buy a scale to track her weight.

I would also say you should try not handling her at all for a couple of weeks to see if that helps.

But mainly I would re-check the husbandry in case something isn't working for her - be it security, temps or maybe even a bedding preference.

Did you ask the breeder to run through exactly how he housed her and how he prepares and offers the prey?

Sometimes that highlights differences.

I wish I had the ability to turn off my hunger meter lol........I have a hognose who eats like ever couple months and then his buddy who is the same age eats like a piggy (no pun intended)

You should really get a scale and check the weight. I bought a pastel at an expo in november and she only ate once since then, hasnt lost any wieght at all... well, maybe 5 grams. Anywho it seems unlikely that your snake has lost enough wieght for you to notice a differnece in 1-2 months.

NO offense to you personally, but every single time without exception that I see this on a forum:

"Her temps are all fine"

The reason that the animal is not eating is 100% of the time due to a husbandry issue.
Please do us a favour so that we may help you, elaborate as to your setup and temps please.

First thing I would do is recheck your husbandry. The temps you consider "fine" may actually be off, which is enough to put your snake off feed.

Well my warm side is around 88 and my cools side is around 78 in a rack and considering the other 3 Bp's in the same Rack eat great i know for sure its not my husbandry .(not to sound cocky or ignorant by no means) I should have wrote my temps down in the first place

88 is a little cool for the warm side. Try bumping it up to 90*? Couldn't hurt!

What size tub is she in and does she have one or two hides?
