Everybody and their brother suggests "chemicals" aka Poisions..
If one is diligent mites can be eliminated with water....Soaking and diligent cleaning..This particular species is often called a swamp snake, they have no problem or complaints with soaking and mites drown..A snake that lives 20-25 plus years was probably never treated with "poisions"..IMO..
