    lol snake

does anyone else notice their ball python exploring at night as if it was trying to escape. The part that makes me laugh is when I see him holding himself up with all his strength, then slowly tip over until he falls onto the aspen. Something about that is just really funny to me, just thought I would share.

That's actually how mine got his name. When he was little he would climb all over the place and fall off of his little branches and seemingly hit his head. It reminded me of Kaa, the snake from The Jungle Book who would always fall not so gracefully from his perch up in the trees.

Many new snakes, especially babies, will spend a lot of their time looking for a way out of their enclosure. After a while once they get a little older, they should stop

I remember when I got my first ball pythons and I would hear "thump" a few times a night. I would just wake up and giggle. They really are not the best climbers.

I had to move an adult from a tank to a tub in order to stop this behavior. He would fall so hard that I was worried he might knock one of his eyes out if he hit any of the furnishings wrong...
