tub vs habitat for bps

is it true that some bps thrive better in a display tank? ive never had a problem with mine (only have 1 bp) he eats fine sheds decently and poop normally, he sleeps in his hide during the day (i have a pretty dark room so i keep a light (100 watt light bulb) to keep ambient temps ok on during the day and turn it off at night and let the temps drop for nighttime ( drop in safe ranges) but at night if i happen to turn on the light or look in the cage he is always out moving around everynight just climbing around the cage, is this a bad thing or is he just explorative.

basically im just wondering if he sounds happy in his habitat or if eventually i should get a rack for a couple snakes (if i get a rack ill get a 3 rack and get 2 more snakes)

As long as they have their basic needs met, it doesn't matter.

Good hides, clean environment, fresh water, 60% humidity, 80F air temp, and 90F basking area = perfect.
The rest is not so important.
If you can keep all of that perfect in an elaborate viv, great. If you can't, then something simpler but easier to regulate is a better choice. The snakes don't really seem to care either way.

Thing is its HARDER to do it in a viv and easier in a tub

The snake doesnt know the diff between a tub and a tank imo. And if he does i dont think he cares

All he cares about is water, food, and his temps/humidity and a bit of space.
