When ever getting a new snake whether its a boa or a ball, always qt them apart to be sure they are healthy enough to co-inhabit in the same room
I think he meant together as in the same rack, but not the same tub
I forgot to mention QT

As stated, it's always good to be safe. Quarantine ANY new snake for at least 30-60 days and know your breeder. Do your research. As far as housing them in the same rack/room, some will say it's ok...some won't. If you get a snake from a show (which is a great place to "shop around" and buy at), just make sure you treat the enclosure for mites. Just because the person you buy off doesn't have mites, doesn't mean you won't bring a few home from someone else's table. It ALWAYS pays to be safe. I keep most of my male boas in a cb-70 rack, which is only a 30qt I believe. They are more perfectly fine in there too. I have a couple that are in 321D's too.

I house my adult common BCI males and females in 4x2x1 cages. My sub-adults are in 32 quart tubs.

Re: just curious for now but.....
Just don't know as much about boas as i'd like, but the one show I went to this year, the sweetest, friendliest snake was a RTB...

Re: just curious for now but.....
They do make adult boa rack systems and there are also tubs big enough to house some pretty large animals... VE-175

Oh yea, I definitely know there are monster setups, but I've got one occupant in my three tub hotel... so want to stick with the 41 qt sterilite 1960's, hoping to have options other than BPs

Im sure by the time a male boa starts to outgrow a 41qt tub, it at all. You will have many more snakes and racks/enclosures.

Re: just curious for now but.....
Reading through the thread, I can see you already got the information you need but I'll chime in with my setup too....
I do house my RTB and ball in the same room. The RTB is in a 55 gallon tank currently until it out grows it and then I will build an enclosure for it. Though I may get lazy and just buy a boaphile.
It's hard to get everything right for a RTB in a glass tank. I am using a UTH for the hotspot and heat cable for a warmer area below the water dish and in some other areas to help with the ambient temp. I also put foil and foil tape around the sliding lid to keep some of the humidity in and help with the ambient temp.
So far so good. Generally it's 92 on the hotspot, 78-80 ambient and 60% humidity.
Good luck, mine has been a great snake. They grow fast and she's a cuddler.

No, it is not. Though you just have to be careful and use hand sanitizer while handling different animals while you are there. Some vendors are not always that great, aka dirt merchants and they sell sick animals so you don't want to get anything on you and transfer it to your animals when you get home.
I think it's a great place to get a snake, I like seeing what I am purchasing in person rather then getting something online personally.
Also, I kept my 7ft peruvian in a 4x2 boaphile. The others are all in my 41qt snake rack.
