Head size?
I'm curious about the size of bp's heads in proportion to the body. Today, as I was watching my little spider take a cruise on the computer keys, I noticed that his head in comparison to his body seemed kind of small... Am I just being a weirdo? I've heard that males can have heads that are smaller than females, but I've also heard that it's a myth because generally, ball pythons aren't sexually dimorphic in any way... but I digress.
Is there something I'm doing that may be causing his body to grow out of proportion to his head? Or do some ball pythons just have small noggins? I feel like this is a really stupid question, but I can't help myself.
I dunno. I just wanted to make sure... it was just one of those things that once it settles into your brain, the thought just doesn't leave you until you ask about it and all you do is speculate.

Re: Head size?
Ball pythons just have small conkers.
Adults look like they have tiny heads, but hatchlings, however... they look quite comical right out of the egg. Their heads almost look too big. Now, if the hatchling is unusually small... well, that's just too funny-looking.

I have to say that it's probably my favorite pic that I've taken. It's from a year or so ago so he's not that little anymore

It would be quite comical if you could duplicate that same look with a recent picture of the same snake. Although, BPs don't like to sit still and aren't poseable, so...

Re: Head size?
I wish I could get another shot like that of him! I tried to get more shots like this of some other babies and they always came out looking like they were taken by Mr. Blurrycam.

Females do have slightly larger heads in general! Bps do have small heads as an adult!
