Princess is just about to lay!

Princess Tinyfeet (nerd joke) looks like she's just about ready to lay her eggs. She's all ridged out like crazy, and she's definitely moving them down. I snapped a quick pic and left her alone. Well, I peeked a minute ago, and it looks like she's ready to go, bulge just at her vent, which is pointing straight down in the middle of her cinnamon bun. I didn't want to bug her with a photo shoot, so I just slid her tub back in and left her alone.

The daddy is Phantom Limb (other nerd joke), a gorgeous yellowbelly. They're unrelated, but both 66% possible het for caramel. Hope springs eternal, right? Lol, I'm just hoping for big healthy babies and a bunch of yellowbellies. They're my favorites anyway.

Aaaaannnnnd once she's laid, then I get the pleasure of waiting some more.

I dunno, maybe it's just a very bad picture...but she doesn't look very big to me. Least not enough to say "she's gonna blow" anyway.

Trust me, the pic does no justice and she's right on schedule, maybe a couple days late or so, counting from her ovulation, but she's definitely getting ready! I've never SEEN a bulge like that at a vent, except in pictures in books and online. I should've taken a pic, but I didn't want to disturb her more than I already had.

Same boat! She was locked, cocked, and ready all night, and then decided maybe the weather wasn't right, or something, and is now just all uncomfortable, pretending nothing happened... I've informed her that she can't hold them in forever, lol!
