Hi,
There was a thread on this quite recently but I seem to have had almost exactly the opposite experience.
My snakes are all sweethearts with only the occasional hiss of complaint most of the year - aside from my big girl who is a nervous nellie and tend to jerk her head back at the slightest movement.
But I have noticed that after the ovulation mine all seem to become so placid as to be virtually comatose.
Even the big scaredy-cat doesn't even react now when I open the tub, lift the paper and stroke her back to see if the spine is raised.
Is this a common thing during breeding or is it simply because they now get checked twice a day at a minimum and are now more used to my paternal fussing?
