    Re: water question

I give mine regular tap water. I would think as long as you can drink the water it would not hurt them.

    Re: water question

I use to treat my snakes' water with repti-safe, but I've switched to tap and everything is fine.

    Re: water question

I did the bottled water for a while, then filtered and now I just give them the tap water. There has been no difference since I changed them over.

    Re: water question

I tried the bottled water thing too. It gets expensive when your collection gets big. I now use tap water too. The only problem I have with it is my water is well water. It is such hard water with so much lyme that if a snake soaks in it, the snake comes out with chalky stuff on its body lol.

I find I dont have this problem as bad if I rinse the bowls and refill them every couple days.

    Re: water question

I use tap water and change it daily. I've never heard of people saying something besides tap water is a must.

    Re: water question

We do tap water, too. Every now and then they get bottled water if there's an unopened one sitting around (which is rare because I devour them). And we use the Repti water purifying stuff, but honestly once the bottle is gone I doubt we're going to buy more. They drank the water just fine without it.

If you were to consider what the alternative in the wild for water sources are; tap water is a VAST improvement.

If your nose tells ya theres chlorine in it, you can jug it for a day or two until it dissipates and your good to go..
