    Yay for Easter clearance!

I got new hides on clearance from Wal-Mart. .50 cents each! They won't last long, but they'll do for now! And hopefully in the future too They're crappy pictures taken with my cell phone. My camera batteries are once again... dead.

So if anyone needs hides... Hit up the clearance section!

    Re: Yay for Easter clearance!

I am CONSTANTLY looking at stuff when in stores like Walmart and Home Depot and even grocery stores, and always thinking to myself, "How can I use this for my reptiles?" Whether it be for snakes or my beardies or geckos or whoever else is at home (or might come home). My friends get annoyed with me when we're out shopping together for this exact reason...

Hey come on what if some of her male snakes are drag queens.

Seriously those are way cool. I would have never thought to cut them that way.

    Re: Yay for Easter clearance!

I actually have one in one of my boys' tub. LOL! He fits so perfectly in them! I know if he knew what was on outside, he's be striking at me alot more! Maybe that's why he was so feisty earlier.... lol.

I cut them that way so when I have a live feeder in the tub and the snakes are taking their sweet time on getting lined up for a strike, the rat can't take cover in their hide. So far, it's worked really well.

I am forever doing this same thing. And I did hit up the Easter clearance aisle at Walmart...today in fact. And I found a 16-pack of tiny plastic cupcake containers (eggs?)that I'm going to just melt a hole in and use for hides for a bunch of tiny hatchling corns. How much? $1.25. For a box of 16. Cute tiny hides for wee babies. Can't get much better than that.

    Re: Yay for Easter clearance!

I was in target today and saw a pack of like 10 tiny bowls for $1.50 or something like that. My first thought "Well if I had corns, those would be great!"

I keep trying to find opaque tupperware to use for humid hides. It's all transparent nowadays. at first I thought about buying a pencil box Like I had in elementary school. But I don't think they sell those anymore.

No they still do! I was tempted to buy one the other day just for keep sake. I think I saw them at the dollar store. Or it might have even been wal mart, I remember that they were on the bottom shelf though. Kinda out of sight.

I guess school kids aren't cool enough to carry around a plastic box anymore!

PS, I just googled it to find what brand I used to have, found that Office Depot carries them.
