When one of ours got out, it took 5 days for her to appear and she was in a cold area.

Lesson is: Relax, you've only been at it one day, slow down and think. Second, check EVERYWHERE not just where you think they will be, they have an uncanny ability to climb places, look both high and low, warm and cold.

Try to look through things, and then remove it from the room so there is less stuff to go through.
