White spot missing scales?!?!?
Hi, I woke up this morning to see my beautiful redtail had shed. I went over, picked her up and noticed what LOOKS like she got chewed on by a rat or something. I can see really small white scales surrounded by her normal large brown/red/ whatever colored scales.
The two things that are bothering me though are as follows:
1.) I have NEVER seen that spot on her before. Not the color, not the missing scales, not the difference in size of scales.
2. The spot on her is so far down the end (shes probably 4 feet long) that theres no way she could have been bitten that far down. Not only that, but I have watched her feed since the day I got her (probably 6 months ago) and she has never had an animal that far down or had an animal bite her at all. (I wonder if the reptile store painted her scales to cover it up or something)
So... is this scale rot? A birth defect? Common in redtails?
I have no idea what to do and I just want her to be healthy and happy. If you could please inform me id greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!!!

Missing but I can see where they are growing back in. I think she just peeled a few off during her shed?

hell if I know, thats what some people were saying on redtailboa.net. I guess the humidity wasnt high enough and it either peeled them off or scratched them off on something in the tank. No clue, im asking you guys lol.
