I'm planning on normally feeding her in the closure. But I didn't have time to spot check her cage this afternoon and since I don't want to touch her for a few days I figured it couldn't hurt to put the mouse in her cage cleaning box with her while I took care of the cage. It was really more of a convenience then anything.

Quick question, Is it 5 to 7 days between feedings or 7 to 10.
for a snake under a year, 5-7 is fine. For big adults 7-10 works. I just feed once a week. Its easier for me to keep track of the same day every week.

Pinky mice are always too small, even for a hatchling.

You could try bumping your snake up to two mice next feeding and see how she does with that
