Snake wont eat, safe for handling?

My BP wont eat and i just generally wasnt sure whether it was safe to hold hr or not, whether it would put her off food even more or stress her out. I got her 3 weeks ago and before that she never missed a feed.

Nope, don't hold the snake til it eats. Offer food every 5 -7 days until she does. Try pre scenting and live prey to help her eat.

Problem is, if you only got her 3 weeks ago how do you KNOW that she hasn't missed a feed? I'm not bashing any sellers but you don't KNOW unless you've been there yourself every time. Sometimes snakes, especially BPs need an adjustment period. This can especially be true if your substrate, humidity, temperature and tank layout are different. I would give him a little time and try to keep things as peaceful for her as possible.

Also, try different feeding techniques like turning of the lights or covering her feeding cage with a blanket, things like that.

Has he pooped since you've had her?

Holding a snake is touchy. I guess it depends on the snake, really. If you do hold her, try not to stress her and just be gentle. I wouldn't hold her for too long, though.

Yeh he pooped like the day i got him and did a little poop the other day. It had been kept in a little tub for all his life, so for about 12 months and is now in a much bigger cage with diff substrate ect..

I bet you that moving him to a bigger cage is what caused him to stop eating. Move him back to a smaller tub or tank and see if that helps.

Handling a snake that isn't eating will just prolong the fast. They don't "like" being handled. They tolerate it.

your switching the cage and bedding caused your problems. Need to downsize back to the tub.

Some snakes will never adjust to tank after being in a tub, some just dont care. Its on you to figure out what the breeder was doing and copy that.
