    28qt vs 32qt

My friend just built a snake rack (from some plans here) and when we went to the store to get the 32qt tubs to build it, they didn't have any. The 28qts were almost the same measurements but of course are a little smaller. I just checked Sterilite's website to see if the 32qt tubs could be ordered and they do not offer them.

Does anyone know where 32qt tubs can be found?

Or, can 28qt tubs be used for sub-adult ball pythons and adult male ball pythons? At what size would the snake become too large to live in a 28qt?

Walmart, Home Depot, Target, Lowes! 28 quart are just as good as the 32 quart!

There are some at target but they are MUCH taller than the 28 qt. The 6,28 and 41 qts have the same tub style and the 28 and 41 are the same height. I don't see how 4 qts would make a big difference. I think it all goes to the height of the tub anyway.

    Re: 28qt vs 32qt

The target around here didn't have any either. We looked all over the place. My general rule is, once a snake hits 1000g, move them into a 41qt, though since my 41qt is not working, I have all my girls in 32qts and they are doing fine (eating and breeding) So a 28qt would be fine until they are 1000g or so? I ask because I'm about to build the same rack and since we can't find 32qt tubs around here I'm going to have to go with 28qts.

Like I said the extra 4 qts goes to the extra height and the extra space it provides with being taller so ground space wise (which is what matters to BPs) they should be the same. All u have to do is keep the lids on the 28 qts because I would think the there would be to much of a gap.

I found the 32 qt in Target, maybe you can order them online from them or check another Target in your area.

The 32 qts were discontinued last year. All they have anymore are 28's and 41's with normal tops. They replaced the old 32's with cheap looking ones with locking tops that cost more.

I'll have to ask if we'll be carrying them again in the future...that bites if Target discontinued them >_<. Only three months over the summer will they own my soul again...

Thank you for asking the question, Jay. I've been wondering this myself
