Reintroducing Trinity
This is Trinity,
the Borneo that I got back in January. She has been on antibiotics since around the time I brought her home. The lab report says the bacteria are gone now. Hopefully it will stay gone because I would like to never go through that again. I think I aged a couple of years from worry. I really like her allot even when she musk’s all over the place.

Re: Reintroducing Trinity
Well, first off - can I have her?
But really, best of luck with her now. Elaborate a little more if you could on the bacterial infection. What did the vet say it was caused by and what plans of action and for how long were taken. ("Give her to mrmertz" - subliminal advertising!)
Just curious, if for no other reason. Oh yeah, where did you get her from? ("Give her to mrmertz" - subliminal advertising!)

Wow, she is beautiful! I have a soft spot for any animal I have had to nurse back and attend to.
Well worth the effort and time you put into her.
Again (give her to Bruce) she is JUST (give her to bruce) stunning!

Re: Reintroducing Trinity
A little back story.
There is a pet shop local to me that purchases the extra feeders that I produce. I found her there in a display enclosure with two blood pythons and one other Borneo if I remember correctly. I brought her home on January 1st. After a couple of days I noticed some mild symptoms of RI. I made an appointment with Doc. before I noticed the symptoms just for a check because of where I found her. On January 7th Doc. took a culture and sent it to the lab and she was started on Amikacin. The lab report come back with heavy growths of Pseudomonas, Enterobacter and Proteus. We did injections of Amikacin for about a month. Back to Doc. on Febuary 15th for a follow up culture. The follow up culture came back moderate growth of Acinetobacter, Proteus and Enterobacter, all still sensitive to Amikacin. But in the elapsed time the symptoms grew far worse. 2kdime recommended that I try giving the Amikacin along with Fortaz. We did this treatment for about another month. This treatment seems to have done the trick. The third culture came back saying Negative=Considered normal flora. The animals were not kept warm enough and they were being overfeed. Yes she is a fatty. It is beyond me how she kept down such large meals without the proper heat, but it was obviously killing her.

Re: Reintroducing Trinity
No, no! Forget all of the (don't give her to Bruce, give her to me) posts on trying to convince you to give her (don't give her to Bruce, give her to me) up! It's not right! She's your baby (don't give her to Bruce, give her to me) and you should recognize that fact!
I would never (don't give her to Bruce, give her to me) give up any of our lil' babies, although Mr. Biggles isn't exactly little - he's a cage tank top pusher and (don't give her to Bruce, give her to me) going on 7 feet now.
Anyways, just thought I would put in my two cents (don't give her to Bruce, give her to me) on the subject.
Take care Sandy (don't give her to Bruce, give her to me), cya 'round!

Re: Reintroducing Trinity
Wow, what a gorgeous animal! Is she a particular kind of Borneo morph?
I hope she stays healthy and has lots of pretty, pretty babies at some point.

THat is one incredible borneo! Now I am no borneo expert, but that speckled pattern creates an awesome contrast! Congrats on bringing her back to health, she looks like she was definitely worth it!

Re: Reintroducing Trinity
I posted a pic of Trinity on another message board and the Guy that produced Trinity recognized him. The original owner also recognized him, seems the original owner feel on hard times and had to give up some of his collection. I was there at the right time and snatched him up. Anyway it’s nice to know some background on Trinity. Seems it is a male that was sexed incorrectly by a third party, I still have not verified this yet as I didn’t want to cause more stress during an illness.
Trinity is still not 100%, but is getting lots of rest now, digesting a rat and is gaining some strength back.
Trinity is a Marble Borneo Python produced by Matt Minetola, and is IMO the best looking Marble to be produced.
