Transitioning from live to frozen

I have a young blood python that eats small or medium live rats. He is approximately 7 months old. I really want to get him on frozen rats, but he just recently became an aggressive feeder. He is still a little head shy and sometimes needs to work up the "courage" to take a live rat. I am concerned that he will not take the frozen and before I frustrate myself and him do you have any recommendations?

Get him feeding on pre killed stuff first and then work towards the f/t.

Have you tried f/t, ? Many a red blood are quiet, timid or easy feeders meaning they will just slither up and eat it if left in the enclosure..Many a blood keeper has experienced such and ours often feed this way..Adults and babies from the 09 season..So in essence many are not aggressive feeders but are good feeders, they just go about it in a gentle manner if you will..Of the 13 we hatched this year only one insisted on live and 12 ate f/t as stated above, just costs a buck or 2 to find out..

Before I even had time to check back for responses I tried the frozen rat and he took it off the tongs easily! I am thrilled that I don't have to feed live anymore!!!!

My young blood python would only strike at small live rats, however when I tried just leaving frozen thawed near his hide entrance he would just eat them overnight, I would wake up in the morning and they would always be gone, lol...
