    3 Fuzzies Too Much?

I fed my female Normal BP 3 fuzzies last night. Last week it took her a while to eat just one but last night her feeding response was great. I must be doing a good job with her. Ive only had her for about 3 week. She was 136 grams and about 19 inches long. Is that to much for her?

If you are talking about fuzzy mice it's not enough, BP are started on hoppers and quickly move to adult mice.

A 136 grams BP can take a small adult mouse maybe even an adult without any problem.

If you have to feed more than one of anything you should up the size. Move to adult mice and you'll be fine.

At what point do you move up to the next size up from full size mice, just out of curiosity...

If you have a scale you can weigh your mice/rats and see what size animal you need for a meal that is at least 10% of the snakes body weight.

The prey animal should be at least as big around as the largest part of the snake. (not the head)

Try those guidelines and see how large a mouse you feed. I would think you would be in the regular sized young adult mice catagory at least.

I personally feed rat pups at appropriate size to my pythons just to avaoid the switch later and because they give better calcium most of the new snakes I get I feed rat pups too no thicker that the widest part of the snake
