    Ackies ( Varanus Acanthurus )

    Hey all,

I'm new to the whole Ackie ( Varanus Acanthurus ) scene bought a trio about 2 months ago with the intention to breed and today jackpot 10 pearly white eggs have candled them and see a bullseye and veins,

My incubation method is the same as I always use for any reptile with a touch of eco earth added. I use Vermiculite in a tub then add the eggs pop them in a poly box with a heat mat attached to the lid hooked up to a stat and a digital thermo temp set to 86/87 all seems well so far but its only been a day.

My question is because I have never incubated Monitor eggs before so does anyone have any tips or tricks to successfully hatching out Varanus Acanthurus ?

Thanks In Advance I will get photo's tomorrow of the eggs and I will post photo's of my girls and my big lad. I think my setup is perfect in a way female laid in her egg laying box with no problems and breeding is spot on plus they all still have a healthy appetite.
