Does your snake rub its nose around in the enclosure? If so, it could just be a scab from all of the rubbing.

Maybe a carpet burn? I would do away with the repticarpet -- that stuff isn't good for anything -- just a breeding ground for bacteria.

Just about anything is a better choice of substrate than that...

Its kind of hard to tell from the pictures. As for the vet saying it was mouth rot, im not so sure unless they did a swab for it. From the pictures it doesnt look like the typical moth rot to me. Granted im not a vet and its not easy to tell from a picture, i could be totally wrong.

As for the husbandry id recommend switching to a rack system since you have a good amount of snakes. Tanks are extremely hard to keep warm and to keep humidity correct. It can be done, but if you switch to a rack im pretty sure you'll be thinking " What was I doing keeping them in tanks? That was such a pain". And i would also recommend switching to an aspen bedding, paper towel or newspaper substrate. Its way easier to clean. Carpets tend to harbor dangerous bacteria and tend to stink.

When I rescued my girl she had been bitten by a rat right in the same spot, it caused mouth rot because her previous owner never took her to a vet. Now her scar looks exactly like that.

Well, it's been 6 days since her last injection, and though the spot is still there, it is fading ever so slightly. She also ate her first meal in a long, long time two days ago.

I hope she is doing better.
