i was wondering what kind of bp i could breed my norm with to get something other than another norm? i want something kool!! something different! hoq do i get an all white BP? is it a big process?? can i buy one on the internet possibly???

All white ball pythons:
Lesser x Lesser
Mojave x Mojave
Fire x Fire
High white pieds can be almost all white as well.

None of these can be made with a normal in your first year. You'd have to buy one.

I'm only trying to be helpful here so please don't take it the wrong way, but you need to read a book. Breeding ball pythons in itself is not at all a "big long process" to get most morphs.

What I see though is that you have a ball python, and want to get something cool out of it. I guess that's where we all started so let me tell you what you should do next.

First decide if you really want to breed ball pythons. If so do you want to be a hobbyist, or business breeder? Also what are your intentions? Are you breeding just to get something cool? If so you could just as well buy something cool. How about breeding something cool so less people will feel compelled to import wild ball pythons.

Then you should be 100% sure you have the knowledge and capability to take the BEST care of your ball pythons. You'd be suprised at how many big name ball python breeder advertise, and even sell at shows/expos poorly kept ball pythons ( underweight, stuck shed, mites, ticks, etc... ). Ask yourself when the last time your ball python had a stuck shed? How did you handle it? Also are you prepared for problem feeders? I've got to feed 6 of my ball pythons ASF's live because they absolutely wont eat anything else. That can be expensive while you're waiting up to a year for your own ASF colony to get going.

So if you're intentions are good, and you've got your ball python husbandry down you're ready to go. Of course you're able to house 2 ball pythons which is what's required to breed. What about the 4 to 12 babies they'll pop out? Shortly after they're hatched ( Whole different story on incubating...), they're ready to be housed in their own cage/tub. For every possibly gravid female I have I prepare a minimum 8 tub space. Then you have to hope you get them sold before they're ready for a sub-adult cage/tub.

So anyway I could go on for hours, on how tough the first year has been... LOL yeah this is my first year. BUT!!! It's been a success as we speak. I wouldn't dare try to discourage anybody from giving it a shot. I'm just saying don't try it on impulse. Do you're homework extensively, and be prepared to spend some money even if you don't make any back yet. So far for my first year I've spent around $12,000 on my set-up, breeders, and grow-ups for following seasons. My reward ( no actual return, it all goes for next season ) will be ( depending on hatch rate hopefully will be 100% ) mostly yellow bellies, and womas, then of course normals. Sad thing none of my recessives are ready to breed yet. So all in all I wont actually make a penny this year. But the actual reward is everything coming together in the end. If I make some money out of it some day then that would be great.

You can buy an all-white ball python--just check the classifieds. Be prepared to pay quite a bit for it.
