Hmm. It is either a very nice pastel, or a super, but not a super nice super. I'd expect VPI to have very nice pastels, so that part does not surprise me.
It is possible it was in with the regular pastels, because it came from a breeding that had no chance of producing a super, therefore, no matter how "super" it looked, it was the het form of pastel.
In some ways, if it were my snake, I'd be hoping it WASN'T a super. If he looks that good as a regular pastel, imagine the supers he'll be able to produce!
As you said, you'll find out for sure when you breed him.

I got my regular male pastel for 1oo. So 25o seems like a steal for that guy, congrats!

Why don't you just ask VPI ? I'm sure they would know.
But IMO it is a super and a nice one at that.

Tracy here-and even though it is April 1-this is a real post!
Yes that was a Pastel Vanilla! I was looking to call-but had to go away and be with my mom for her to have some surgery, so quite a bit of time has gone by!
No problems here with me- I totally looked at the snake-and said-wow that is a nice pastel-forgetting I had brought it to pair up with a super Vanilla female!
I did appreciate the fun of someone getting a great combo and thinking he was getting a "normal" pastel!
You know I like getting good deals myself-kind of like Antique Roadshow, which is one of my favorite shows!

Exactly how BG expected this to end. There's no way a good business person can take it back now. BG wouldn't. Actually BG might give more snakes. He'd give a Vanilla Pastel female also.
