    A very BRIEF spray across the top of the substrate is all you need! Make sure that the PAM is COMPLETELY dry before exposing your reptile to it. Wet, it is very toxic!
    Once dry, it kills mites, but not reptiles.

    I would be concerned that by shaking up the bedding with PAM, it would not properly dry out.

    when i used aspen in a 20gal i would put the aspen in the tank and spray two quick sprays on the aspen and let it sit outside in the sun to dry and air out, then after about 20 minutes i would mix the aspen around and let it sit for another 10-20 min. u do not want ur snake to breath in the fumes or come into contact with the PAM
