    Don't worry about how long it takes for him to swallow the mouse, as long as it goes down. Mine has taken nearly an hour to position his mouse into a swallowable position (chomps down on it sideways!), but he manages and is growing nicely.

    I'd imagine a hopper would be too small, but it depends on its size/weight. We got our runt at 112g and I fed it a hopper like I was told to. The hopper was 8g from Petco, and it took me a couple of weeks to realize that was WAY too small. Our runt quickly gained weight when fed appropriately sized meals.
