New/Rescued/Kinda Pin

Nice pin. Looks very good. Ive been looking for a nice pin female to go with my male axanthic.

I'm calling the snake a him because that's what the seller said it was. I'll pop it in a few days and see what I really have. Probably a male, but who knows!

Im confused as to why it was a 'rescue'.


Just because it was on CL doesnt mean you 'rescued' it.


I mean its a good lookin pin, dont get me wrong.

I just see a bunch of people 'rescuing' snakes...that aren't really in that bad of shape.

Well, if you look at the subject line it said rescued/kinda. I also thought that for 4-5 months old, a 185 gram snake is a little on the small side, don't you? No, he's not tick/mite infested, he doesn't have a RI, nor does he have ribs showing. But I didn't want a snot-nosed kid getting his mom and dad to buy this Pin. So I'm calling it a rescue/kinda thing.

He's a nice pinstripe! My pin was a big pansie at first too, but recently has become a feeding machine. His clutch mate is still being assist fed too, and they're about 4 months old.

Hope he starts pounding meals for you!

I hope he will eat well for me. Since I don't know the husbandry by the seller, I'm just hoping if I warm him up, give him a nice hide and the appropriate size prey, he'll do better for me.

My only problem, I've got him in a tub on a dresser in the bedroom with a UTH doing the heating. Don't worry, it's on a rheostat and the temps are perfect. I have completely ran out of space. I really need to get that rack built soon.

I wish the wife would break her pencil, so this honey-do list doesn't get any longer.

Just on a side note.
BP's don't have to hit 500-700g in a year. They also don't have to eat every week. This is actually what is called power feeding. It is done to speed up the breeding process. Its also not necesary. Yes most do it, but is better not to. A 2 year old ball at 400-500g isnt a bad thing. (unless of course your trying to beed said such ball and then thats just not going to hapen unless its a male ). It is better to not power feed your ball and to let females get 2000g+ at 3y+ before first breeding her.
Just my own thaughts on the matter. Not that they count too much.
