CHE Vs Black heat light
would a 100 watt che be the same heat as a 100 watt Black heat light ?

Yes. The blac klight would just emit light, and the CHE wouldn't.
Are you using this as your primary heat source? If so, I would look into getting an under tank heater on a thermostat or rheostat. Belly heat is much more efficient and won't sap your humidity.

no i have a uth on the warm side at 90-95 and a uth at the cold side for 80-85 i just have a light for ambient temp as i live in ny and my basement has no heat so i use the bulb to keep the Ambient temps at about 80

Wouldnt a space heater be more efficient at keep temps?

i do use a space heaters actually lol its a open basement so the only door is between the living room and bedroom and the doors dont quite fit right so heat gets let out and cold air gets let in

Wow that seems like allot of work and electricity to get the temps right. Could you move her into the upstairs?

i live in the basement and it is the least active place in the house upstairs he would be bothered by running kids and such all day and every other room is occupied
Also i only have to do this in the winter months
