No need to get defensive. You did the best could with what you had - that's fine. The photo quality doesn't do justice to the real beauty of the animal, and it looks like he's headed in to shed. Better to have a beautiful snake and a cheap camera than the reverse.

You should take some outdoor shots after he's shed, since even the crappiest camera can take decent photos outside... LOL. And fwiw, I think he looks like a beautiful boy.
