Ceramic bulb or new UTH?
The temperature in my BP's tank is constantly fluctuation which i believe could be why she is put off of her feed. I am debating tho whether to get a more powerfull UTH that can keep the hot side at 90 degrees, hooked up to a thermostat or whther to get a ceramic heat bulb ( the one that doesnt shine a light) hooked up to a thermostat. Sadly my knowledge of this subject is rather small so any suggestions would be great!
Thanks in advance

If room temps are in low 70s all you can do is get a 60-75 watt Infrared heat blub to help keep temps up in the cage. Even the most powerful UTH wont matter if on a thermostat since temps will be achieved using 1/4 of the power.
Just like i said get a low watt IR bulb and keep it on a dimmer if you have too to rise ambient temps.

Re: Ceramic bulb or new UTH?
The ambient temp in the room and cage when its at its coolest is about 82 degrees and cool end seems to be around 80 degrees. The reason i was again the infared is because it seems to sap out all signs of humidity. also could you give meany names of dimmers i can buy?

If your room temp is 80 lowest then your heating pad might be bad if its not heating up properly.

most heating pads are only 8-20watts and flexwatt is 6-20 watts. Not really powerful as they dont need to be. Uneven heating is sign of bad UTH

an UTH will get up near 120*. it may keep ur tank around 90 but u will burn or kill ur snake. just keep the UTH for belly heat and get a red light for ambient temp
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.
