Personally the college I went to was in driving distance of my home, so that was a bonus for me.
On the whole though I majored in drinking, which is a major I do not recommend. If you'd like to make money, be respected, not fall down a flight of stairs, never agree to tazer yourself for $100, Never see the wisdom in surfing inside a grocery cart, etc.
