We had a male that was 4 1/2 months old and 318 grams! He has bred and the female is on her way to ovulation!

lol at hats.
We have a 5 month old 400 gram black pastel male that's been producing plugs for a month and since he was 350 grams in weight.
He will make a nice sized breeder this next season, nothing to shoot him to to test his virility as all our girls have taken or are refusing males now.

LOL!! The nun's hats thing is too funny! Thanks for your input. I have a lil guy who's around 300+ grams, and about 5 months. I just wasn't sure If I should try breeding him this season, or wait till next. And I don't know if producing "nun's hats" qualifies him as "capable" of producing viable offspring. Course whether he wants to or not, that's an entirely different matter altogether.

My male YB was locking up at 350g and the first female he met ovulated last week and is puffing up nicely.

I have a female who is still locking up if you want to test him out.

Re: Youngest you've seen males producing sperm plugs?
I remember my male producing sperm plugs a while back near when he was smaller (like maybe 300g+?). He's now 600g+ and breeding with my female normal
