    Well the dad just looks like a nice yellow pastel, so i have honeslty no idea how they became so washed out and the pattern got so broken.

    I will say for one thing, i dig em!

    I'd have to disagree. Perhaps you're thinking of Ruppel line Super Pastels? Ruppel line pastels look...well just like the OP's pictures, not to put too fine of a point on it. I'm not suggesting that those are in fact Ruppel Pastels, but even most Ruppel Pastels I've seen haven't been that washed out, so I'm not sure which you've been seeing? Casey (Lazik) had a super available some time ago, which might be what you're thinking of.
