    Funky Thyroid?

Has anyone ever seen single scale shedding in snakes? I talked with Greg G. a few years ago about and he wasn't familiar with it. My LTC BP girl did this at age 2, 3, and 5 and hasn't in about 6 years. The sheds seemed to contain more melanin than normal sheds. Any info/feedback on the subject would be appreciated.

anomally occurred with 80-90 hotspot, 72-80 ambient, 55-70 humidity

    Hi,

    Just to rule it out.

Had you been applying anything to the snakes skin? Treating for mites or anything?

Are you sure that's not some kind of bleeding? Some of the discoloration seems to span more than just one scale, then others appear to only effect some of the scale.
